To start adding classes, select the Classes tab on the left side of the page. Click the “+ Add Class” button and choose a name for your class.
“Class ID” and “Description/Notes” are not required, but they may be helpful for you to identify the class.
The “Scoreboard Visibility” option will allow you to determine whether your students can see their standing within the class.
To keep your students engaged, you can use the “Show instant feedback on each word” and “Show live speed and accuracy stats” options to allow them to see positive feedback and their typing speed as they achieve set goals.
The “Backspace Behavior” option will determine whether your students can use backspace to correct mistakes.
The “Allow Jumping Ahead” option will determine whether you students must work on lessons in order, or if they can skip ahead.
You have the option to choose a grade for your class. If you’d like to allow students to join this class on their own, without you having to upload a spreadsheet with student information, this is the place to do it. You can choose whether you want any student in your school, or any student in your account to be able to join the class. You can assign this class to an instructor, as well as assign it a lesson plan. You can always come back and edit your class later.
When you are finished, click the “Add Class” button to see your new class.
